DESCRIPTION:“A completely different kind of skydiving Experience”\nYou must have a B license or more and attend the Night Jump briefing to do those jumps. \nSunset: 7:58PM Moonrise 5:02PM \nNIGHT JUMPS RECOMMENDATIONS\n\nClear goggles or visor (non-tinted)\nLight colored jumpsuit\nCellphone (for off-DZ landings)\nSmall flashlight (to check canopy)\nLighted altimeter (or small chem light to illuminate it)\nWhistle to warn other jumpers under canopy or to aid rescuers in locating lost or injured jumpers.\n\n  \nNIGHT JUMP REQUIREMENTS\n\nStrobe light visible for three statute miles\nChem lights\, 4” or 6”\, red & green\, (2-3 of ea.)\nImmediately check in with manifest after jump prior to packing.\n\n  \nPerris Organizers will have strobe lights and glow sticks – red & green for rent at $20 a pack ($20 dollars deposit ). They have 20ish kits but plan to rent them on a first-come\, first-served basis. That being said\, a $20 deposit will hold a kit.

DESCRIPTION:We’ve waited long enough. It’s time for 100 ways in California!\nOrganizers: Matt Fry & Andy Malchiodi\nUsing the same methods and techniques that led to a successful sequential world record\, we aim to set a new 100+ way California State Record. \nThere are no mandatory “tryouts.” Team selection will be conducted much like the VSWR. If we know and are familiar with you\, please fill out the interest form to be considered. If we don’t know you very well\, please include references and be sure to let us know how you would prepare yourself for the CA record (i.e.\, specific bigway events you might attend\, VFS training\, tunnel training\, etc). For capable fliers who would like more opportunities to train for the CA Record and the next VWR\, we are also organizing 40 ways and 60 ways at Perris during the winter. Details on those to follow in the coming months. Participation in those events is not required to be considered for the CA record. \nAre you interested? SUMMARY:CA Record Big Way Camp - VWR Phase 2 Camp
DESCRIPTION:Bigway camp to prepare for the California State Record scheduled for May.\nOrganizers: Matt Fry & Andy Malchiodi\nSize: Capped at 60-ways \nThis is a camp designed to practice the skillsets needed for the CA State Record and the subsequent VWR. This camp is a little different than Bigway camps of the past because the intent is to actually build the entire formation. We have a different formation planned for each day (3 days = 3 formations) and each day will be treated as if it were a were a mini-record attempt. This includes progressive build-ups\, repeated builds\, limited reslotting\, coaching\, and mentoring. That means it will be slotted for success and you will get to train the slots you would likely have at the CA Record and/or the VWR. Again\, the intent is to build these formations! \nAs with past workshops\, we will continue to gather feedback from participants to refine the methods and strategies needed for the CA Record and VWR. \nPre-requisites:\nSafely able to approach\, dock\, and break off from a head-down formation. You should also be able to reliably pick up your grip in a timely fashion. These formations will be treated like a record\, so you should have the skill sets necessary to be reasonably successful on a 40-60 way record attempt. If you have any questions\, please contact Matt or Andy. \nFAQ:\nQ: Can I get a VWR invite from this camp? \nA: Yes. This is a Phase 2 camp and performance at this camp will be used to consider a potential VWR invite. \nQ: Can I get a CA State Record invite from this camp?\nA: Yes. Performance at this camp will be used to consider a potential CA State Record invite. \nQ: What are the pre-requisites to attend this camp?\nA: Each day is treated as a mini-record. This camp is a little different than Bigway camps of the past because the intent is to actually build the entire formation. We have a different formation planned for each day (3 days = 3 formations) and each day will be treated as if it were a were a mini-record attempt. This includes progressive build-ups\, repeated builds\, limited reslotting\, coaching\, and mentoring. That means it will be slotted for success and you will get to train the slots you would likely have at the CA Record and/or the VWR. Again\, the intent is to build these formations! \nAs with past workshops\, we will continue to gather feedback from participants to refine the methods and strategies needed for the CA Record and VWR. \nFAQ:\nQ: Can I get a VWR invite from this camp?\nA: Yes. Each participant in this camp will be challenged appropriately to their level of skill \n*REGISTRATION IS OPEN* Please fill out the registration form here\n  \nWHAT TO EXPECT: \n\nSmall group setting to allow for more individualized coaching and training group flying safely\nFocus on refining Exits\, Controlled Movement/Docks\, and Break Offs\nLimited slots available Per Day\nIn depth briefing\, debriefing\, and video\n\nREQUIREMENTS: \n\nExperience with vertical flying in groups of 4+\nMust be able to maintain Head Down or Head Up (respective to your chosen day) for the entire skydive\nSafe approaches and breakoffs from a vertical orientation\nAAD\, audible & freefly-friendly rig\nMinimum of 200 jumps\, or with organizer’s approval\n\n*Safety is of utmost priority.
